Cedar House Bed & Breakfast and Kona Coffee Farm is deep in the heart of Kona Coffee country. In the middle of the Kona Coffee belt, our 2500 trees flourish on three acres of prime land with a backdrop view of the Pacific Ocean.
Our coffee is home grown, hand picked, and sun dried.The perfect climate of glorious sunny mornings, cloudy afternoons, and cool nights insures a perfect crop each year. Careful pruning and fertilization throughout the year is strictly controlled to bring you the best coffee ever.

Our picking season starts around the end of October and lasts for five months. It is a family effort to pick the first rounds of coffee, just the red, ripe cherries each time.
It's picking time! Red, ripe cherry....
The coffee is then pulped to separate the beans from the cherry. The cherry goes back on the fields to help mulch our trees. The beans are washed, and sun-dried on a drying platform for 7-10 days. Constant raking insures even drying. The coffee is now at the "parchment" stage and is milled to remove the parchment layer (a stiff outer skin) to leave green bean coffee, which we store until we need to roast it for your orders.
Roasting is a critical part of the process - our beans are roasted to perfection, to bring out the full-bodied flavor that Kona Coffee is justifiably famous for. Immediately after roasting, our beans are packaged and shipped to your order. all around the world!
